I've had a lot of people reach out about the possibility of starting a dropshipping business. Seeing how many people are interested in learning more about this, I wanted to put something together.
So...first off, what is dropshipping? Dropshipping is when you feature a product in your online store but you don't carry inventory of that product. The product is instead sent directly to a customer from the dropship wholesaler.
What are the downfalls of dropshipping? Dropshipping is tough because you are trusting a wholesaler to handle and ship your orders and often these wholesalers are overseas. Logistically there can be errors and it can be a headache.
A lot of dropship websites charge a membership for access to their products. These products are usually coming from overseas, take weeks to make it to your customer and arrive with a shipping label that is clearly from another country. Also, if this is the route you want to go, then there is no need to pay for a dropship membership on an overpriced website that features the same wholesalers found on Aliexpress.
Is there a way to start a dropship business without logistical risks, unprofessional shipping labels, and up-front costs?
Yep. You can create products to sell to your customers which will then be printed, fulfilled, and shipped from a warehouse in the U.S. The shipping labels will have your business name and a branded sticker. You can also create custom branded tags for your shirts and include flyers or postcards into the package for an extra cost.
The best part? You can start for free. You only pay when you make a sale!
I put together video tutorials which walk through how to create products and sync them to your online store.
