What is your favorite thing about running a boutique business?
My favorite thing about running a boutique is the natural high I get to experience with each and every sale. It’s an indescribable feeling to follow a dream, put in the work, and then have people like it.
What has been the biggest obstacle in running your business?
Marketing was the biggest obstacle for me. I had to put in the time and effort to learn what works best for my store.
What has been your biggest business accomplishment?
My biggest business accomplishment was the moment I hit “go live” on my store’s site. To me, turning an idea into a reality is an accomplishment in itself.
Getting my first REAL sale from an out of state stranger was huge to me.
What advice do you have for aspiring boutique owners?
Don’t rush to open your store! Take your time, ask for feedback from people you trust, make sure you know your store’s vibe and who your target audience is! And DONT GIVE UP!
